Questions and Answers about CLIX
How do I install the wheel? How do I remove the wheel?
To install the wheel, the rider places the wheel in the fork until it “CLIX™”. Then he or she closes the quick release lever. No spinning and no adjusting. To remove the wheel, the rider opens the quick release lever then squeezes the lever against its holder while removing the wheel. No spinning, and no losing nuts and springs.
What are the benefits of the CLIX™ system?
There are many benefits with the CLIX™ system. It is more convenient for the consumer because it requires only one hand to operate, and does not require cam adjustment each time the wheel is removed or installed (periodic adjustment checking should be done according to the Owner’s Manual). CLIX™ can be operated from only one side of the wheel.
How will I know which bikes have the CLIX™ system?
Simply look for the CLIX™ logo on the front wheel quick release.
When will the CLIX™ system be available?
CLIX™ is now available on all Montague bikes and soon on Trek, Schwinn, GT and Mongoose bikes. Other bike makers will be changing over to CLIX™ as their production schedules permit.
Can a CLIX wheel be used on any bicycle?
No. Never use a CLIX wheel on any other bicycle. It can only be used on the bicycle it originally came with.
